Instead he spends a lot of his energy trying to avoid schoolwork, get his hands on a video game called "Twisted Wizard," and hang out with his sidekick Rowley. Now, clueless as he is, Greg realizes that Rowley is still stuck in kidsville and admits that Rowley's status as "friend" is no sure thing...

I've read the review for this last week and it's a brilliant approach. I mean, there are a lot of kids who can identify with the main character[s].
A band called Loded Diper - almost worth the price of the book.
A lot of us could definitely have used some humor in middle school. My own experience forced me to conclude that teenagers are scum. Maybe this book will help a few of today's kids to maintain their social equilibrium.
Bah. Read Molesworth.
I'm a dork, but I don't want to read books or see movies about dorks.
My son purchased this book at his school's bookfair yesterday and read it cover-to-cover in two evenings. He loved the book. He's 9.
Even this morning on the ride into school, he was sitting in the middle row of seats with his 6-year old brother reading exerpts from it.
All I could do was smile.
